Critical Spring is book 5 in the Siege of New Hampshire Series. This volume picks up the story where it left off at the end of book 3: Hunger Season. Book 5 also continues the story of Susan in book 4. Her lifeand Martin’s become unexpectedly intertwined again.

Book 5 also addresses several plot threads left dangling in the earlier books. Several readers asked what happened to Susan after the end of Book 4. Critical Spring gives Susan-fans an answer.

All five books in this series highlight how ordinary people can cope with a massive disruption in our “normal” world. A will to survive and a spirit of improvisation can build a new life on the rubble of the old.
